Our journey so far
Since 2007, Xior has grown into a leading European specialist in student accommodation. What began as a focused vision has developed into a portfolio of residences across multiple countries – each shaped by the same commitment to quality, safety and community.
2007
The First Brick
Christian Teunissen (Founder & current CEO of Xior) purchases first student residence in Leuven, Belgium
2013
Breaking New Ground
We take our first international step by entering the Dutch market.
2015
Listed on the Stock Market
Xior listed on the Euronext Brussels stock market in December owning over 2,030 units in 8 cities & 2 countries. Also the official start of Xior Student Housing NV as a public REIT (GVV) under Belgian law.
2019
Southern Expansion
We further expand our portfolio into Spain and Portugal.
2022
A New Era
Xior Student Housing enters the Polish market and acquires Basecamp (present in Germany, Denmark and Sweden)
